Follow these six simple steps to secure your place at MIG. The entire process can be completed online or in person at either campus.
Browse MIG's four core programmes — Journalism & Media Studies, Film & TV Production, Marketing & PR, and Fashion Design & Cosmetology — and select the qualification level that suits your goals: Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma.
Collect certified copies of your WASSCE / BECE results (or equivalent), a national ID or passport, two passport photographs, and any additional certificates relevant to your chosen programme.
Complete the online form below or visit either campus in person. Submit all required documents. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission improves your chance of securing a place.
The admissions team reviews your application and supporting documents.
Successful applicants receive a formal offer letter by email, WhatsApp or in-person. The letter will include your programme details, fee schedule, and registration instructions.
Pay your initial fees (full or instalment), collect your student ID, and collect your timetable. Attend orientation to meet your lecturers, tour the studios, and get started!
Requirements vary by qualification level. Select the level you're applying for below.
Minimum of a BECE (Basic Education Certificate Examination) pass or equivalent. Candidates with WASSCE results are also eligible.
Ghana Card, Voters' ID, passport, or any government-issued photo identification.
Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white or light background.
Fully completed MIG application form (online or paper). All fields must be filled accurately and legibly.
Non-refundable application fee of GHS 200, payable by Mobile Money (MoMo), bank transfer, or in person at the admissions office.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. Mature applicants (25+) without formal qualifications may apply under mature entry criteria.
Minimum of WASSCE or SSSCE with passes in at least four (4) subjects including English Language. Aggregate 24 or better preferred.
Holders of an MIG Certificate in a related discipline, or a comparable qualification from a CTVET-accredited institution, are eligible to apply directly to Diploma level.
Ghana Card, Voters' ID, passport, or any government-issued photo identification.

Applicants to Film & TV and Fashion Design Diploma programmes are encouraged to submit a brief creative portfolio or showreel.
Non-refundable application fee of GHS 50, payable by MoMo, bank transfer, or in person at the admissions office.
A Diploma from MIG or another recognised institution in a relevant discipline. Applicants with degrees in unrelated fields may also be considered.
At least one (1) year of relevant industry experience is recommended for Advanced Diploma applicants, though not strictly mandatory for recent diploma graduates.
A professional portfolio, body of work, or showreel demonstrating creative output in your chosen discipline is required for most Advanced Diploma programmes.
All Advanced Diploma applicants will be invited for a short interview with the programme head before an offer is made. This may be conducted in person or via video call.
Certified academic transcripts from your most recent institution, plus a valid government-issued photo ID.
Non-refundable application fee of GHS 50. Advanced Diploma applicants may also be subject to a portfolio review processing fee.
A valid international passport with at least 6 months remaining validity beyond the intended period of study in Ghana.
Certified copies of all academic certificates and transcripts, translated into English where necessary by a recognised translation service.
Non-native English speakers must demonstrate English proficiency. IELTS 5.5+ or equivalent is accepted. Exceptions may be made for applicants from English-medium schools.
International students must obtain a valid Ghanaian student visa or residence permit. MIG's admissions office will provide an offer letter to support your visa application.
Proof of valid medical/health insurance covering the full period of your study in Ghana. The MIG admissions team can recommend partner insurance providers.
International students pay an application fee of USD 20 (equivalent). Fees are quoted in Ghana Cedis at the prevailing exchange rate at time of payment.
